IPL ka SACH....

Another IPL season comes to an end….In this cricket crazy nation where life revolves around that 22 yards ,Indian Premier League is one of the most anticipated and awaited tournament of the year… Though in everyone’s eyes India is still a very poor country where a major section of the population still finds it pretty hard to even manage food twice in a day but God knows from where these huge bucks just come pouring in whenever something is even remotely related to this second religion of our country.
For the past three years such huge amount of money has been pumped in by different franchise that it is really hard to believe not only for the common people but authorities also…and therefore it was no surprise to see IPL coming under the scanner of Government.. Just after yesterday’s final Lalit Modi finds himself in an unfamiliar situation where he was not the one dictating the terms and conditions. If the charges laid against him and the entire tournament is anywhere right , then really it’s a shame for Mr. Modi as it will further deteriorate already tarnished image of India when it comes to match fixing allegations and betting. I don’t know why man is not ever satisfied, history shows that greed for more and more is often the reason for man’s downfall. Great kingdoms , empires plagued by this disease have always came crumbling down and gone to dust in no time but still we don’t learn from either others or our own mistakes.
Enough talking of this sorry episode of ipl , now let’s look at the brighter side or the things which are worth giving second thought . Throughout the entire tournament we witnessed some amazing performances by different individuals and not only the big names but many players who were earlier considered to be fringe players really took the center stage and outshone many renowned international names. Be it the performance of Murali Vijay who was prior to this tournament considered best suited for test arena only or the emergence of players like Saurabh Tiwary and Ambati Rayudu who were a completely unknown entity for not only international viewers but also for highly cricket fanatic Indian public. They really grabbed this golden opportunity presented to them and raise to the occasion to be counted. As it has been said from the very beginning of this extravaganza that this tournament is all about Indian players and their exposure to the international level , so it was really heartening to see them grabbing the spot light at this world stage.
Now coming to my main motive behind writing this post ( I know its getting quite long but plz this one is really important ). …..SACHIN…… God of cricket …….. greatest batsman ever ….. perfect role model……. Etc etc u really fall short of superlatives to describe this great personality… After so many years of rigorous and non stop international cricket only God know from where he find such energy and passion to still go on like a 16 year old who is just starting his career.. It really amazes me when I see myself and people around me completely bored and exhausted from their daily routine work , and then I see and read about him and every time I m awestruck. .. Is he a machine or bot even scientists are working on it … When T20 came in to seen as the newest child of this ever evolving game, everyone thought this will be a game of youngsters and seasoned and experienced campaigners will find it mighty hard to adjust to this fast paced action packaged 3 hrs blockbuster.. At the time of the first T20 world cup everyone almost forced 3 pillars of Indian cricket to pull their names out of contention for the world cup squad and that’s what they did.. At that time it seemed a very good decision as India went on to win the cup but ever since that historic triumph India haven’t performed as was supposed of them and whenever Indian cricket is in any kind of crisis who do you turn to …….. no prizes for guessing …… yes its again SACHIN…. But he is not like someone who wouldn’t stand by what he says and rightly so he has replied with a strong no…. Enough of all this …… coming back to IPL and season 3 in particular again sachin proved his critics wrong and performed in the way only he can do….. With almost all the batting records in his pocket one thing which was missing was the IPL orange cap and it was a challenge for him with so many so called young contenders in the fray …… Jacques Kallis threatened to take it for a while but he also ran out of steam in the end …..consistency and the will to succeed at all cost ……these r the things that separates good players from the great one…. To see Sachin’s team lose in the final was really a sour pill to swallow specially after what he went through , the amount of pain he endured to play for his team , he really deserved to win that trophy .. But again he was let down by his team mates …… Bloodied and bruised he stood there like a lone samurai but no one rouse to the occasion to just support him in the hour of need…. It was just like the world cup finals in 2003 all over again. There also he finished as the highest run getter and man of the series award but still empty handed as that elusive prize again eluded him …… But as a true sportsman and the gentleman he is , he took the disappointment and failure in his stride and have definitely moved on … I can just go on and on on when it comes to Sachin but I understand ur pain as well :P
Finally I just pray to God to just give Sachin what not only he but the entire nation wants very badly ………. WORLD CUP 2011……….
Hats off to him …………..

Experience .....

Hello everyone.. its been really long time since I got the time or to be fair got in the mood to sit down and wield my magic from my pen wand…..well to be fair I have so much to write about but don’t know how to put all that to words. So much have changed , so many twists and turns , so many highs and lows … life is just whizzing at such a horrendous pace that I really m short of words at describing this phase. As u all r very much aware of the developments and changes which we all have witnessed in the past few months I m in no mood of going through that chronicle once again . We all felt bad and terrible at leaving our friends and all those good and bad memories behind but at the same time we all knew this day would come ,though it came a little early than we anticipated but life was again at its surprising best so we all cope up pretty well from that stupor.. But on a serious note it was pretty tough to be bounced from one end of the country to the other as if u r a tennis ball.. But what fun in living without any drama and excitement and we all were very aware of the fact that its all for our own bright future ( though Abhishek required quite a lot of persuading and my mind washing skills were tested to its best ).. But after so many days and months when I look back at my journey I feel nothing better could have happened for me.. Don’t know about others but I have learnt and feel have grown so much in these past days that now I feel not getting selected in Accenture was a blessing in disguise for me coz otherwise 110% I would have opted for Accenture and would have never let go of the opportunity to spend my last sem with my friends back in college but as they always say the Great Grandmaster ( GOD ofcourse ) had so much better things planned for me that I can’t even think how to thank him for this experience of a life time. Its not about the technical knowledge I have acquired in the past few months and its also not about the facilities we are enjoying in this state of the art campus but it’s about the life its various facets which it has in offer for each of its pupil. Living away from home searching for some company in midst of crowd and most importantly searching for your identity in this herd really forces u to change not only your approach to life but in a way forces u to change U. One very important thing that I have learnt in the past few months is never to lose faith and believing that whatever happens , happens for a reason and that reason is always good ,one just have to look around it .
One thing which everyone should remember is – Happiness is a Journey Not a Destination .. one has to live through it and not waste precious moments waiting for that ultimate goal which might not even come. But experience one gains on that journey and that lovely moments are the things which live with you forever.
As I said got so much to write but don’t know how to express all those in words.

Change...Is it Necessary??

Hello to all. I would like to start with two of the famous quotes:

1) The doors we open and close each day decide the lives we live. “Flora Whittemore”

2) Sometimes it's the smallest decisions that can change your life forever.” Keri Russell ”

This explains a bit about what i need to discuss here today. Not wasting much time i would first share an experience of mine and then carrying on with some other issues too.

It was on my last vacations when i was going home and waiting for the bus to leave the stand…i moved out of the bus for a change and what i saw was that people were bringing eatables from the stalls outside and were eating those and were throwing the waste on the side of the road despite the fact that there were some dustbins there.

I got a bit irritated and asked a guy who was looking to be an educated one-”Yaar ye yahan kyon fek rhe ho….dustbin hai vahan”…He said in an irritating tone that “idhar yaar pehle se hee kachra pada hai”.So I said -“aap aur bhada rhe ho usse”.Then we boarded into the bus as it was about to leave. Then i told him that the place where he was throwing the garbage was made a place like that by a person like us who first threw the garbage there and you were just adding to it.

Then i thought that how responsible are we as a citizen? We just criticize governments, criticize rules etc. What we do is we say that countries like US, UK etc are well developed and have clean roads and things like that but we ourselves make our surroundings dirty.
. Are we really bothered for a change or we will just keep on criticizing things.

I guess rules in our country are not that stringent as there is no fine on things like i mentioned in the above incident. No fine on people smoking in the bus but we always find ”No smoking” written in the front of every bus.
We are of the belief that “rules are meant to be broken”- this might look cool and easy. We can find many a times that younger people breaking traffic rules and then cursing the traffic police. We curse governments too but we never bother to vote.See guys this way things will never change. It’s on everyone of us to take initiative and ask the person if that person is smoking in the prohibited area and raise your voice against many such issues like this.Don’t think much but “Just Do It” and try to bring the change which you dream to see and make our country not a better but a “best” place to live in. It may be a similar article which you have read before and forgotten but believe me guys if it doesn’t awake you then i guess you better need another hour’s sleep. If it really wakes you a bit do something as efforts never go waste if they are taken in the right direction.
